Business Policies

Tuition is $65 per hour. One eleven week session includes private & group lessons, recital, and one make-up lesson. Sessions will be $325 for thirty minute private lessons and $487.50 for 45 minute private lessons. In addition to the time I spend directly with each child in the lesson, your tuition also pays for lesson planning, learning, and organizing the best possible ways to educate each child. A $35 materials fee is collected when you begin lessons to purchase books and materials, and to cover any event entrance fees. You will be billed for another $35 once the balance of your account falls below $10.

Payment is by check, cash, PayPal, or Intuit. You may pay for one session at a time or make monthly payments. Any payment not received by the 10th of the month will be charged a $20.00 late fee. If this continues for 2 months in a row, lessons will be terminated until the balance is paid or other arrangements are made. A $20 fee will be charged to your account if your checks are returned from the bank for any reason.

Regular lesson attendance is an important discipline in a child’s development. However, unexpected absences due to inclement weather, illness and family emergencies do occur. To help offset these absences, each student will receive one free make up lesson at the end of each session for any of the above reasons. You may also choose to try and swap lesson times with another student.  Credits are only issued if I must miss a previously scheduled lesson and a make up time is unavailable.

Taking lessons is a long-term commitment. Completion of registration includes a commitment by the student and parents to study piano with me for at least one year. There will be no refunds of advance payments if a student stops lessons before the end of a session, except in the case of major illness or major family emergency.
